As PIA reported it is trying to expand its international network and cover the European and UK markets. Following EASA lifting its prohibition on PIA, the plans are to launch many trusted global routes.
The chief executive officer of Pakistan International Airlines, commonly referred to as PIA, stated that the airline has been seeking to improve its tracking performance by managing aircraft inventory.
However, PIA’s recovery plan for Boeing 777s aims at expanding its active fleet to eight units, increasing A321s to twelve, and adding two ATR planes as part of the airline’s revised operations strategy that aims at 2025 goals.
Improving the fleet will increase the airline’s capabilities and complement PIA’s network and the greatly untapped Pakistani community outside Pakistan.
Due to these actions, the airline has made significant progress in terms of the reliability of the schedule and has reached more than 90% of on-time arrivals – an unprecedented index for Pakistan, as stated by a spokesman.
